Q, What is the AYF PLAYERS SPACE?

A. AYF Players Space is the youth only social network that caters to the young football players and cheerleaders who belong to Community football and cheer programs affiliated with American Youth Football and Cheer (AYF).

AYF is a 501(c)3. This Players Space is only accessible and will serve only AYF/AYC athletes on approved rosters aged 16 and under. Only AYF and AYC Participants with a PLAYER ID CARD printed with a unique Player ID number (that your child should have received from their AYF/AYC Organization.
The AYF Players Space was designed to provide a one of a kind protected online space where the AYF and AYC youth membership unite to share accomplishments in sport, school and community. The sites goal is to create an environment where youth with shared passion for football and cheer from all 50 states can motivate each other in their athletic and scholastic interests and achievements.

Q. How does my child get their membership card with the Player Space Member ID number?

Membership Cards are distributed by upon your leagues season registration with AYF and should be distributed by your team coaches to all players. Membership Cards may also be distributed at AYF National Events, Camps or other special functions where a players membership in AYF can be verified.

Q. What if my child loses their Player Card?

A. No Problem! With only a lost Player ID Number, no one will be able to sign into the players space and view your childs profile page. Unless they have the associated personal User Name and Password, a membership number alone cannot access their profile or the site at all.
In addition any player number that already has an associated profile user on the site, will not be accepted to create a second profile, so lost cards will not endanger the ‘Players Only’ environment.

Your player will still be able to use their profile site as normal as long as they remember their Sign In Name and password.
For replacement cards, please contact your League Representative. Please note that charges may apply for replacement cards.

Q: Can I get access to preview/monitor the Players Space?

A: No adult is permitted to gain access to the AYF Players Space in order to fully control site access and ensure that it the site remain’ Kids Only’. Upon request and with proof of guardianship (to ms@americanyouthfootball.com) we will gladly send you screen shots of your child’s profile page.

Q. How is the Player Space monitored?

A. The Players Space is monitored daily by AYF Staff. There are automatic language controls built in so explicit language is never published, and all videos will first be monitored by AYF Staff and within 24 hours of posting ‘approved’ videos will be posted. This will ensure that no inappropriate video content is posted.

Q. What personal information is collected as part of the sign up process?

A. In ther first step, players are asked for the Player ID Number, and sign in name (which could be a nickname), and password of their choice, and an email address (optional).

In the next step they are asked for their personal information including first name/last name, birthdate, and home address/city/state and zip. This information is NOT posted on their Profile page or any accessible page on the site. The address field is optional, and is only collected because AYF will run many contests that offer prizes; these prizes will be sent out to your child on behalf of American Youth Football and ONLY American Youth Football (no third party), if you should choose to NOT enter the address field, the site will still promote contest prizes, and it will be your responsibility to inform your child that prizes that may have been “awarded” will not be delivered. AYF is not responsible for prizes not delivered if the address was not available at the time the contestants won.

Please note, while the address field is not required, the city, state and zip code field are so AYF has the ability to confirm that all users are in fact registered members and participants in AYF leagues.

The State and Age details will be profile information that will be published on the players site.

Q. What will AYF do with the collected personal information?

AYF is a 501 (c)3 organization and we sincerely value your personal contact information. Information input to this site shall not be sold, shared with, viewed by or distributed to any third party. A. AYF may on behalf of its partners do select promotions, contests and giveaways, but any contact needed or mailing of gifts/prizes/awards will be handled solely by American Youth Football and their confidential mailing service.

Q. What if I don’t want to put in an email address?

A. Mailing addresses are optional. However not entering a mailing address may impact what prizes/gifts that your player will receive. We will attempt to send shipping confirmations through the site directly to the users Players Space mailbox, but if they should not respond, and there is no email on file. Prizes will not be shipped. AYF is not responsible for prizes not delivered if there was no response via the Player Site mailbox and if an email address was not available to notify the user of their prizes being shipped.

Q. What if I don’t want my child to put up a picture of themselves?

A. Pictures are not necessary. There are a selection of ‘avatars’ that users can select for their profile picture instead of uploading images of themselves.

Q. What if I don’t want to put in a mailing address?

A.The address field is optional, and is collected because AYF will run many contests that offer prizes; these prizes will be sent out to your child on behalf of American Youth Football and ONLY American Youth Football (no third party), if you should choose to NOT enter the address field, the site will still promote contests, prizes, and award these prizes to the Winners. Please be advised it will be your responsibility to inform your child that prizes that may have been “awarded” will not be delivered. AYF is not responsible for prizes not delivered if the address was not available at the time the contestants won. Please explain thies to your player in advance so that we can manage expectations!

Q. What kind of marketing will be on this site?

A. There may be a collection of Interactive games, contests and blogs/contests, streaming commercials, celebrity blogs (topics on studying, training, teamwork, motivation etc). Any and all marketing will be (in part) designed by American Youth Football, Inc. and be in accordance with our very strict code of conduct and in line with our mission of creating productive and wholesome environments for our youth members.

Q. What kind of prizes will be offered through contests on this site?

A. Prizes may range from Under Armour apparel, Wilson Footballs or equipment, UCA or Varsity Cheer Accessories, free music/video game downloads, discount cards, scholarships, entry to AYF regional/national events, free tickets to Major Sporting events, theme parks, competitions and more!

Q. Who would be mailing these prizes/gifts to our address?

A. Any and all prizes/gifts would be sent to you directly from American Youth Football inc. and/or our confidential mailing service. Nothing will be sent to you directly from the awarding company since none of this information will be available to them!
